1983 was the year Michael Jackson led the charge as America woke up to black music. New groups hit it big on the radio, and record labels bowed before MTV. My favourite albums were “The Crossing”, “The Hurting”, “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”, “Speaking in Tongues” and “Kill ‘Em All”
